- SupaMoly 2% Mo

SupaMoly 2% Mo is a calcium carbonate chip 3-4mm containing 2% Mo in the form of Sodium Molybdate.
-
Why Use
- Provides plants with a readily available supply of molybdenum
- Is particularly important for nitrogen fixation by leguminous plants
- Minute quantities product are required for optimum legume growth
-
Safety Information
Caution when mixing
Sodium Molybdate mixes well with other granular products.
Segregation may occur when mixed with product with differences of particle size.
Compatibility
-
Benefits
- Provides plants with a readily available supply of molybdenum
- Is particularly important for nitrogen fixation by leguminous plants
- Minute quantities product are required for optimum legume growth
- SupaMoly 2% Mo containd Sodium Molybdate a readily soluble source of molybdenum essential for optimum legume growth.
- Minute quantities of elemental Molybdenum are required for optimum legume growth, therefore good mixing with other fertilisers is essential.
-
Uses
SupaMoly 2% Mo is used to provide plants with a readily available supply of molybdenum. It is particularly important for nitrogen fixation by leguminous plants such as clover, lucerne, peas and beans.
Molybdenum is important for the rhizobia in clover nodules to assist in nitrogen fixation and for plants to use nitrogen.
In animals, molybdenum is important for some enzyme activity and for iron storage in tissues. -
Application and storage
Application is made by mixing this product with other fertilisers e.g. superphosphate. Typically 6.0kg of product is mixed with a tonne of super when spreading at 250kg super/ha. This equates to an application rate of 1.5kg/ha of Supa Moly 2% Mo or 30g of elemental Molybdenum per ha.
Application rates and advice may range from 1.5kg to 2.5kg of SupaMoly 2% Mo per hectare.SupaMoly 2% Mo is a safe product to store and handle. Bags should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
